Things that made me giggle...

The week after Spring Break is rough. I am so tired. I fell asleep watching Duck Dynasty the other night. I never do that. Several things happened this week that had me laughing. One was choosing our "class name." Of course the kids suggested things like The Eagles, The Bulldogs, The Spongebobs....yea, clearly I needed to fix the vote...I mean... guidance was needed. I always laugh at this...my last name starts with an H. So what comes to mind first. Hippos...I have enough issues with the scale...I'm not splashing the word hippo across my back. Then what comes to mind next? Hoodlums, Hoodrats, and certain garden tool... Oh and heroes...I'm tired of being a hero! So, finally high-tops won. It only took two votes....by secret ballot! Don't you wish one time we really could choose the names we laugh over after school. We made cute high tops. The kids colored the toe and heel their favorite color. Then drew things on their shoes that they liked. Finally, we used the cutest scrap letter pieces.(I bought from School Speciality) to spell their names. I totally should have a picture here. They turned out cute. I see a glyph for next year. The second laughable moment has nothing to do with the class. We had an assembly this week. I was standing by my principal. She leaned over and whispered, "Did anyone tell you your bitty-one wore some bubba teeth in her Spring picture?" WHAT!!!! Oh my goodness...I have THAT child! Hello, photographer did you not see them? Turns out she planned to wear them, she planned to WEAR them! She PLANNED to wear them! Had them on....but got caught. Bless you teacher! The teeth were actually blue Mr. Potato Head teeth. Oh my, I would have bought the big package of pictures! The Lord knew I needed my bitty one. Apparently, people say she is JUST LIKE ME... Naw, she is my role model at times. I would love to have her abandoned. She is a modern day Punky Brewster. she is the kid who wears glasses as an accent piece...earmuffs all day. She is wonderfully made! This week we used Peace, Love, and First Grade's ..Messy Pets...read the room. The kids loved it Laura! We will do it again next week using looking for four word families. I need an - ing read the room. We also enjoyed Some Knufflebunny. Love, love, love Mo. We will have to come up with a little text to self with this story...hmmmm Next week...we are doing Easter stuff. I am heading to TPT to scour ideas. Forgive my mistakes! Hopefully you will see a cute blog design soon.
